Janette has 20+ years’ experience teaching Group Exercise and Aquatic Fitness classes, seven of those years in a supervisory capacity. She has trained, evaluated and certified instructors, implemented new classes and run special events. Janette expanded her repertoire to include teaching Yoga in 2017.

Why I love being an instructor:
I love reaching out to those new to exercise. As the kid always picked last for sports teams, I was quite surprised to find myself teaching fitness classes and love to share my knowledge and encourage others to be active in a safe and fun manner.
Fun fact about yourself:
To those nervous to begin anything new, I like to share the fact that, the very first time I taught a paid fitness class (I had been volunteer teaching for a couple of years), I was so excited, I overdid it, fell off the step and sprained my ankle so badly that I was unable to complete the class. I want others to know that, if I can come back from that and teach for decades, you too, can accomplish your goals!
