NEW Calgary Parking System
This change helps better manage the parking needs of our community while we continue to grow.
Starting February 24, 2026, the new Calgary Parking system will be in place at MNP Community & Sport Centre. This update helps us better manage parking as demand for health and recreation services continues to grow, while maintaining free parking options for our community. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone.
FREE PARKING AVAILABILITY
Free parking is still available within designated time limits:
- 3 HOURS FREE
4:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday to Friday - 2 HOURS FREE
4:00 PM – 4:00 AM Monday to Friday - 2 HOURS FREE
Saturdays & Sundays
IMPORTANT NOTES
- If you exceed the free parking period, remember to register your parking before leaving at the Calgary Parking pay machines located inside the facility or outside the north entrance.
- Please note the time you enter the parking lot, as shown on the electronic sign at the lot entrance.
- If you go over the allotted free parking period and do not pay, you will get ticketed by Calgary Parking.
- MNP Community & Sport Centre cannot waive fees.
WHEN TO PAY FOR PARKING
If your stay is within the allotted free parking time, no registration is required.
If you expect to stay beyond the free parking period, you may pay for additional time at the kiosks either before entering the Centre or anytime before leaving the parking lot. The free parking period is accounted for on kiosks.

PARKING RATES
- Hourly rate: $8/hour
- Full day rate: $20
- Pay Increments are as low as 5 minutes

- Vehicles are left at owner’s risk. MNP Community & Sport Centre is not responsible for lost or stolen property left in vehicles or damages
- On-site parking is not guaranteed
Why are you introducing the new parking system?
To manage increased demand and ensure fair access as our facility and downtown grow busier.
Is the goal of the system to increase revenue?
No. Most visits remain free. Fees apply only if guests exceed the free period.
What if someone gets a ticket?
Direct all ticket disputes to Calgary Parking. Guest Services cannot waive fees.
Will there be signage to help guests?
Yes, clear signage will provide instructions on lot number and remind guests to pay before leaving the lot. The Guest Services Team will also be happy to assist.
