Calgary Adapted Hub
Calgary Adapted Hub is a collective of Calgary-based organizations committed to providing quality sport and recreation opportunities for children, youth, and families living with disabilities in the city of Calgary. The collective is supported by Canadian Tire Jumpstart.
The Hub was founded in 2020 to make sport and recreation more inclusive for children, youth, and families living with disabilities that are physical, intellectual, sensory, developmental, or otherwise.
Calgary Sport & Social Club
The CSSC was established in 1996 and has been providing adults with the best co-ed, multi-sport experience ever since. The CSSC has grown to host over 5,300 teams each year, serving over 120,000 Calgarians since inception. With year-round leagues, tournaments and events for adults, there are so many ways to get in the game!
Calgary Surge
The Canadian Elite Basketball League unveiled its newest franchise in Calgary on October 19, the Calgary Surge. The team will begin play when the 2023 season tips off in May, with WinSport Event Centre serving as the team’s home.
The Calgary franchise originated as the Guelph Nighthawks in 2018, one of the six founding members of the CEBL. The organization was relocated from the league’s smallest market to Calgary in August as part of the growing league’s business strategy to have teams in Canada’s largest metropolitan areas.
